Description

Monopolize is compact, stocky, and oh so handsome. He raced 4 times, finishing 3rd in a stakes race. He thinks he is pretty hot stuff often prancing around his field and he has a lot to say when he meets new friends. He was recently gelded so he is just learning how to socialize with others. He mostly just squeals a lot upon first introduction, he doesn’t really kick unless they are running and he gives a little “woohoo” kick in the air. Monopolize hasn’t quite figured out that other horses would maybe appreciate personal space, so he will follow them around and lean on them. In our field, the ones who don’t care for this will give him a couple warning kicks and he just finds someone else to play with. He would do best with another younger gelding who likes to play. He does not have any stable vices.

He is an eager student and fun to ride. He is a natural at everything he has been asked to do thus far. Monopolize has a lovely mouth and is responsive to your leg. He already yields to pressure and will learn proper leg yields in no time. Monopolize will do best with an advanced rider or confident intermediate rider in consistent work with a trainer. He is suitable for flatwork and jumping careers. He was retired with a suspensory injury and has been rehabbed fully to starting under saddle work. .

He has just begun his under saddle training and is eligible for the RRP Thoroughbred Makeover Challenge.
