Burn the Mortgage earned enough to pay the mortgage in his race days. Over his 30 race career he earned over $332k, winning a listed stake race and running third in the Grade 2 Mervin Muniz Handicap at Fairgrounds Racecourse in New Orleans. His winning personality has carried over in to his new life. He is a confident guy who is not shy about introducing himself in the field and quickly finds his place in the group. BTM handles like the well traveled gentleman his record indicates he would be. He does not have any stable vices.
Under saddle his elegant neck arches gracefully as he comes on to the bit. He is level headed and straightforward to ride. BTM loves to trailride around the farm as well as working on his flat work in the arena. He is best suited for careers in flatwork such as pleasure or low level dressage, as well as trail riding with an intermediate rider.
Burn the Mortgage came to us via the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association’s Take The Lead Program. We greatly appreciate their support.
